Advocacy 101

We look forward to welcoming you on January 20 from 3:30-5 p.m. as we dive in to the world of state-level advocacy for nonprofit organizations. In this session, we’ll:
- Discuss the differences between advocating and lobbying,
- Learn from a House of Representatives Chief of Staff ways to be most effective, and
- Practice a policy pitch with your peers.
Guest speakers include Jacob Cottingham, Chief of Staff for State Representative Donna Howard and One Voice Members Jo Kathryn Quinn, Executive Director of Caritas, and Molly Clayton, Executive Director of Texas Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy.
